One of the best boardgames ever made, Axis and Allies combines the history and drama of the second world war with deep strategy lacking in many modern computer games.

The Solar Site

I worked for a Solar Electric installation company called EcoEnergies in the Bay Area from 2000-2003. When I quit to start my own web production company. I chose the name SunPoweredProductions.com, because I liked the metaphor of healthy websites having "roots", "leaves", "flowers" and "fruit".

The site has done well, but because of the name, I consistently get visitors looking for Solar Power. In order to try and direct these visitors somewhere useful, I created "The Solar Site" page, which draws on my experience doing solar in the Bay Area and my Alternative Technology investing knowledge.

Random Defense 2 Rules!

Random Defense 2 hints and strategy

Random Defender is the best defense game I have played. I've played a lot of rather advanced strategy games like Civilization or the Total War series, but there is something about Random Defense 2 that just grabs your interest and keeps it.

First off, the game is really hard. It's not easy to survive 10 levels... on any difficulty setting, but just making it through the first 3 levels on the hardest level takes experience.

So far, I have gotten to level 54 on difficulty setting 5. According to the high score list, there are a couple folks who have scored 2 million points. I don't even begin to understand how you score that many points... You've got to get through some seriously tough levels

The game focuses on your build order.

There are three weapon types.

  • Guns
  • Explosives
  • Electric

I'll try and write a bit about some of the strategies I have figured out, but I'm really tired and need to go to bed...
